Goals of the Name Review Process

NHMCCD desires a name review process that:

• Is "simple and elegant"
• Is inclusive of all college "communities"
• Clearly communicates the purpose and rationale
• Solicits input and support during a unique moment in NHMCCD history

Rationale for a Name Change

A new name will:

• Link the five colleges into a single identity while preserving local identities
• Improve understanding of each college's relationship to the system
• Improve understanding of the district's total capacity and opportunity
• Improve the district's ability to attract students, partners, resources
