Chancellor Announcement to Employees

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I wish to thank you for your interest and support for our name review process.  The response to the call for suggestions regarding the district’s name has produced over 500 entries.  Yesterday the Name Review Committee met and narrowed the list down to nine semi-finalists that will move forward in the process.  Those names are listed on the official web site at www.nhmccd.edu/newbrand under “Select a name.”

I hope you will take the time between now and October 8 to review the list and select the name you feel best represents our district.  Using the feedback received, the Name Review Committee will narrow the list to a few finalist names to be presented to the board of trustees for consideration of a final selection at their regularly scheduled meeting on November 1.

This is a very important time for our college district and I sincerely hope you will participate in this process.
