Thousands of students and community members voiced their opinion during an extensive naming review process. After the tallies and suggestions were taken under careful and thorough consideration, one name stood out among all the others. That name was "Lone Star College System," ultimately chosen by the Board of Trustees to become the new name of NHMCCD.

We are excited about moving forward with a name that reflects the strength, innovation and excellence of this great college system.
